Annapurna Base Camp I

The Annapurna Base Camp I trek (also called Annapurna Century) is one of the most popular treks in the Nepal as the base camp is the most spectacular spot for dramatic views of eleven towering Himalayan mountains.

Your initial stay in Kathmandu and travel along the trek’s introductory route afford you the opportunity to meet and engage with the people of the Himalayas. You further explore the heart of the Annapurna Mountains as you trek to the base camp, following a forested trail that affords more encounters with the locals and their culture. Along the way you have fantastic views of the snow-capped mountains and terraced-field landscapes while also being free of high-altitude sickness.

The Annapurna Base Camp trek starts in Nayapul and Birenthanti, combines spectacular mountain scenery with incredible cultural diversity, and traverses through rural farms and villages. The trail leads toward the deep gorge between the Hiunchuli and Machhapuchare peaks and goes through the dense bamboo forest up to the Sanctuary via the Modi valley. Upon arrival in the Sanctuary area, you are in the midst of the amphitheater surrounded by Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and other major mountains.
